Let's Talk Turkey!
1) HOW DO I PAY? J-BAR-H Accepts all major credit cards, personal and company checks and PayPal (and of course cash)
2) IS THERE A DEADLINE? Yes, we are accepting retail orders until Thursday, November 20 at 5pm.
3) HOW DO I GET MY TURKEY? You must come to our kitchens and pick up between 12 and 6pm on Wednesday, November 25th. Corporate and large orders will be delivered based on the contract.
4) WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT? Any turkeys not claimed by 6PM will be donated to the Cypress Assistance Ministry to bless those less fortunate than ourselves. No refunds will be offered.
5) WHERE ARE YOU GUYS? Our kitchens are located at 11403 Regency Green, in the Met Family Life Center. Click on the map for directions
6) HOW DO I REHEAT MY TURKEY? Remove your turkey from the stylish butcher paper wrap and the plastic that is underneath. Place in a pan with one cup broth or water, loosely cover with foil and place in a 350 degree oven for about an hour and a half or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees (you DO have a meat thermometer, right?) Then carve and enjoy.
7) HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL MY TURKEY FEED? These turkeys start out at 12-14 pounds so they ought to feed up to 14 people. If you are serving other entrees such as ham then it will stretch even further, If you have a house full of big ol' boys it will feed a little less.
8) CAN YOU SHIP MY TURKEY? NO! We can only prepare them for local pickup. You are welcome to transport them in any way or fashion you choose once they are in your hands. (We suggest buying a couple to give as gifts as you travel!)
9) WILL MY TURKEY FREEZE? Yes. Just chunk it in the freezer as is and let it defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours before cooking/eating. See step 3. If you would like it frozen for pickup, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to do so for you. Smoked turkey is one of the few proteins that really freezes well with no degradation of the product.
